In The Heights

Our 2019 production of Lin Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights took Kansas City by storm. It featured Javier Francisco Villegas in the role of Usnavi de la Vega alongside an incredible Kansas City ensemble. Directed by Nedra Dixon with choreography by Kenny Personett, it remains the highest-attended MTH production in history.
Big Band and Gershwin

In 2017 we collaborated with Brad Cox and The People’s Liberation Big Band of Kansas City for An Evening with George Gershwin. The conceit was to re-imagine some Gershwin tunes with an 11-piece Big Band. Here is Brad Cox’s original arrangement that closed out Act 1.
Easy to be Hard

In 2016 Film, television and Broadway star Heather MacRae performed at MTH as part of our “A Night on the Town” concert series. Heather appeared in the original Broadway productions of HAIR and Falsettos. Here she is singing Easy to be Hard, from HAIR.
South Pacific

Our 2014 concert production of South Pacific featured Ashley Pankow as Nellie Forbush, Christopher Sanders as Emile de Becque, and an incredible ensemble. The production went on to be the the highest-grossing MTH show at the time.
Hello, Dolly!

Our 2013 concert production of Hello, Dolly! starred the incomparable Deb Bluford as Dolly Levi and the magnificent Gary Neal Johnson as Horace Vandergelder. The tune “Elegance” is performed here by the characters of Cornelius, Barnaby, Irene, and Minnie Fay.
