This is Shanna’s second appearance in the Ruby Room Series. She is thrilled to be hosting again! She is an actor and musician who has appeared in many productions throughout Kansas City: Once, Between the Lines, Side by Side by Sondheim, The Diary of Anne Frank, Sunday in the Park with George, Stillwater, Hair: Retrospection, Santaland Diaries, A Christmas Carol (all at Kansas City Repertory Theatre); Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (The Coterie) Freaky Friday, Nunsense, Bridesmaids, Mama Mia, Sister Act (New Theatre & Restaurant); Next To Normal (Kansas Repertory Theatre). New York: Phaedra’s Floating Cabaret, Undone, Decline and Fall (New York Theatre Workshop). Jake, a Kansas City native, is so excited to return to the Ruby Room, and to perform the music of CCR. With a deep passion for theatre and music, he is excited to be back on stage and looks forward to becoming even more involved in the Kansas City theatre scene. Spending five years as a Live Entertainment Performer at Worlds of Fun is where he developed a love for music revues. Some of his favorite past credits include: Link in Hairspray, Rocky in Rocky Horror Picture Show, and his role in the Kansas City Premier of Sunset Boulevard.

Shelly Verden is excited to be back with MTH! Shelly is a composer, playwright, and part-time goofball from Lee’s Summit, MO. Recent credits: Mother of Monsters (Arts Asylum), Once (KC Rep), H.O.T. The Musical (Unicorn Theatre), Officer and a Gentleman (Kaufman Center). Past MTH Credits: The Who’s Tommy, Next to Normal, Jesus Christ Superstar.
