Music Theater Heritage is committed to facilitating and improving the accessibility and usability of our Website (www.mthkc.com), ensuring that our Website services and content are accessible to persons with disabilities including, but not limited to users of screen reader technology. To accomplish this, we have made modifications to the Website to enable and maintain accessibility in-line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which is an auxiliary aid to enable people with disabilities to use the Website and obtain its content in conformance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable State and Local accessibility requirements.

Audio Assistance Devices
MTH has sound amplification devices available for all Musical Series performances that connect to either T-Coil Hearing Aids or to MTH-provided headphones. To use one of these devices, please visit our Box Office  when you arrive for the show to check one out.
Crown Center Complex Accessibility

The Crown Center complex, including the tri-level retail center and both hotels, is wheelchair accessible. Courtesy wheelchairs are available at Customer Service on level two of the Crown Center Shops, Handicap parking is available on levels 2A and 3A of the Crown Center Shops parking garage. Two handicap parking spaces are available on Grand Blvd., near the Crown Center Shops’ Grand Blvd. entrance. The Crown Center Shops’ Grand Blvd. entrance is handicap van accessible.

Sensory Bags

In partnership with Variety KC, Music Theater Heritage offers sensory kits for guests in need of noise-canceling headsets, polarized sunglasses, weighted blankets, hot/cold packs, and fidget toys. To use one of these bags, please visit our Box Office when you arrive for the show to check one out.

Wheelchair Accessible Seating

MTH offers seating options in all of our spaces that are accessible for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. These can be purchased through our website by choosing the seats with a wheelchair icon on any event map or by calling the MTH Theater Box Office at 816-221-6987.

Website

Using certain WCAG guidelines is a base line auxiliary aid Music Theater Heritage provides to disabled users of the Website. Music Theater Heritage considers other auxiliary aids to enable disabled users to obtain the Website’s content, including implementing additional WCAG guidelines for certain Website content.
