Summer Camps

 

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we reveal our 2025 summer camps! We believe in the power of theater to build self-confidence, creative thinking, empathy and caring. Our camps are designed for all experience and abilities. Enroll early and guarantee your spot in the most engaging and innovative musical experiences in Kansas City!

Camps are Monday-Friday from either:
9 am – 12 pm OR 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

Age ranges include camps for grades 1 through 6 and also 6 through 12.

Summer Camps are $205 per camp

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Discover the wizarding world of Harry Potter on our search for spells, fantastical creatures, and magical mischief! We’ll make our own wands, get sorted, and learn music from magical shows in musical theater! We’ll share the magic with a final performance for friends and family under the stage lights!

Mufasa and the Lion King

Mufasa and the Lion King

NEW! Have your camper join us on an African adventure in this camp. Using crafts, theater games and memorable songs, students will explore the characters from the original film and from the new movie, Mufasa: The Lion King. We will sing favorites that you already know and love, and new ones too! A presentation at the end of the week of our song filled African adventure will be given for family and friends to enjoy.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! “Rise up!” Each day of this camp will bring projects and music inspired by Hamilton! Students will learn about the history and creation of this American musical phenomenon while singing and dancing their way through its incredible score. The camp will conclude with the ultimate final performance that you can share with all your family and friends!

Camp Wicked Jr

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Friendship and being true to yourself are the highlighted themes of this camp while exploring the music and story of the hit musical Wicked. Campers will create wicked crafts of their own, and explore the musical’s themes of community and citizenship. Family and friends will also have the opportunity to get wicked along with the campers at the final performance on the last day of camp.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND Where are my Queens? These Tudor queens have become pop icons in the musical SIX. Campers will take the microphone as they study the pop remix of the history of the wives of Henry VIII. The camp will end with friends and family attending a concert performance, live on stage!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! All the magical sights and sounds of Roald Dahl's and mesmerizing music from the hit film await you in this camp. We'll also visit our own Chocolate Factory as we visit CHIP's right here at Crown Center. The Camp concludes with a final presentation for family and friends

NEW! Join us as we explore songs from the hit Broadway musical, Mean Girls! Campers will delve into the world of Mean Girls where we see at the end that being mean isn’t the way to be! At the end of the week we will perform the songs we learned on stage under the lights!

Outer Space Camp

NEW! Each day of this camp will be filled with choreography and music that is out of this world! We will explore songs that are inspired by stories set in outer space. The camp will conclude with a final performance that you can share with your family and friends!

Camp Barbie

Camp Barbie

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Are you a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world? Join us as we sing Barbie inspired music as well as music from the hit movie. We'll learn songs and dance numbers to "dance the night away" in our own pink world and conclude the week with a final presentation for friends and family!

Camp Wicked

Camp Wicked

NEW FOR GRADES 6-12! Students will explore the music and story of the hit musical Wicked. It has been running on Broadway since 2003 and is now a hit film, so students will have an opportunity to sing the music themselves. Family and friends will also have the opportunity to get wicked along with the campers at the final performance on the last day of camp.

Camp Moana

NEW! Join us as we celebrate the music from Moana and Moana 2 in this fun and engaging musical theater camp. Explore Moana’s world while she follows her dreams and explores the world. Campers will also take a field trip to Sea Life Aquarium during the week of camp. Camp culminates with a performance on stage under the lights!

Oh, Mamma Mia!

Oh, Mamma Mia!

NEW! Mamma Mia is a story about life and love set to the music of ABBA! Get your disco island groove on and explore such hits as Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, and Take a Chance on Me. Camp culminates with a performance on stage under the lights!

Important Info

2025 Summer Camp Registration
  • Summer Camps are $205/participant
  • Summer Camps have a minimum of 2 instructors per camp
Education Payment Policy & Refunds
  • Payment is due in full at the time of enrollment in order for the camper to be ensured a spot in the camp of choice. If waitlisted, no payment or deposit is due until a spot becomes available.
  • Prior to April 1, 2024 all tuition is fully refundable.
  • For cancellations between April 1, 2023 and May 1, 2024, we will refund 90% of the camp fees.
  • For cancellations between May 1 – May 31, we will refund 50% of the camp fees.
  • Beginning June 1, there are no refunds for camp fees, but camps may be transferred to another individual and must be used for a 2024 camp.

The seasonal nature of our program precludes any refund, camp credit, or reduction for late or non-arrival, early withdrawal or student cancellation within two weeks of the program for any reason. Students sent home in violation of our rules, for medical reasons, or at the discretion of the student, family, or MTH will receive no refund.
