Taught by Kansas City’s top Theater Artists, the goal of our education and outreach programs is to design and implement a ground-breaking curriculum that immerses children and adults in the joy of musical theater.
Summer Camps
Our innovative musical summer camps for kids are nationally recognized and a heckuva lotta fun.
Workshops
MTH’s 6 session workshops aim to equip kids of all ages with skills and philosophies designed to assist them on their creative journeys! In a fun and supportive atmosphere, we’ll explore character development, song interpretation, and have loads of fun doing it, too!
Heroes and Heroines
The Epic Characters of Disney
6 Tuesdays: October 7 – November 11
$150 for the six-week session
In this class, musical theater students will explore iconic characters in Disney movie musicals. They will get an opportunity to show their heroic side with characters such as Mulan, Rapunzel, Anna, Aladdin, Kristoff, and even Olaf! The class culminates with a presentation of our songs for friends and family!

Broadway Icons
The Essential Characters of Musical Theater
6 Tuesdays: October 7 – November 11
$175 for the six-week session
In this class, musical theater students will explore the iconic characters of Broadway musicals old and new. Students will work on audition pieces and learn some big musical numbers as well. Students develop the skills to shine as a soloist while learning to collaborate with other performers in an ensemble piece (or two!) The class culminates with a presentation of our songs for friends and family!
Students will not be required to share their audition pieces at the final presentation unless they would like to do so.

Student Matinees
An affordable way for students to experience the thrill of live theater. Every performance includes a post-show discussion with the cast, curated by MTH’s Education Manager.
