Alyssa Bell Jackson is an American violist, arts leader, and music advocate based in Kansas City. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, where she leads the organization’s fundraising, operations, and long-term strategy, shaping creative vision into sustainable organizational priorities. An active performer and educator, Alyssa has appeared and has recorded with a wide range of classical, jazz, and commercial artists. She is a founding member of the Fountain City String Quartet and remains deeply committed to cross-genre collaboration, music education, and expanding access to the arts. Alyssa holds degrees from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Her background as a classically trained violist working across genres informs her leadership approach, allowing her to effectively bridge artistic excellence with organizational strategy.

Kyle Brown is a versatile percussionist playing music from orchestral to jazz to experimental. He has been performing in the Kansas City area since 2010 and along with playing percussion, Kyle teaches percussion at Shawnee Mission West High School and his private studio of all ages.
Kassie Ferrero

Kassie Ferrero has been playing the bass for over 20 years, exploring all different genres and musical settings. She regularly performs with orchestras such as the Kansas City Symphony, Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, and Missouri Symphony where she holds the Assistant Principal title. While classical music is her bread and butter, you can also find her throughout the KC Metro performing in musicals, contemporary concerts, and any other occasion where a bass is needed! She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Music from the Peabody Conservatory, both with a focus on double bass performance. Outside of music, you can find Kassie cooking, baking, and enjoying time with her family.

Brian Vaughn is an educator, instrumentalist and singer from Kansas City, Missouri who teaches K-5 music in Lee’s Summit, MO. A celebrated trombonist, Brian has performed with Collegiate Shag Brass Band, Columbia Jazz Orchestra, Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra, The Missouri Symphony, Mid-America Freedom Band, and in various churches and pit orchestras in the Missouri area. He has appeared on trombone in MTH productions like GODSPELL, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, and A RUBY ROOM Christmas. He is very excited to play trombone for Brigadoon!

Alla Wijnands is a highly accomplished violinist with advanced training from the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory. A founding member of the Saint Petersburg String Quartet, she toured internationally, performing at renowned venues across the U.S. and Europe. She has held key orchestral roles, including Concertmaster positions and performances with major symphonies. She has also performed in various Broadway productions, bringing her artistry to theatrical stages. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has served as a professor and conducted masterclasses worldwide. Now based in Kansas City, Missouri, she continues performing with regional orchestras while teaching violin and viola, and actively participating in chamber music ensembles and solo recitals.
