The ultimate tale of friendship and loyalty, Godspell is the musical sensation that continues to touch audiences and remind them of the power of forgiveness and love. The first major musical offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz, Godspell features an infectious pop/rock score with a barrage of pop hits that crossed over into mainstream music, including the billboard hit “Day by Day” and many more!

Brian Vaughn

Brian Vaughn is an educator and musician from Kansas City, MO making a return to the world of performing musical theater after an absence spent educating K-5 music in Columbia, MO and Lee’s Summit, MO. A celebrated trombonist, Brian has performed with Collegiate Shag Brass Band, Columbia Jazz Orchestra, Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra, The Missouri Symphony, Mid America Freedom Band, and various churches and pit orchestras in the Missouri area. Brian was the Interim Education Director for MTH’s youth summer camps in 2023. Brian would like to thank Emily Shackelford for getting him back onstage, his family for their support, and his best friend Chip for demanding he get back to this.

James is extremely thrilled for this to be his MTH debut. He was once one of the first MTH campers and is glad to be back. He is a local actor and has worked with theaters like The Coterie Theater, KCRep, and MTKC. He was a 2018 Vincent Legacy Scholarship Recipient. He has performed in the Annual Starlight Gala. Local credits include: Akeelah And The Bee (The Coterie Theater), Christmas Carol (KCRep, 2018), and Big River (Black Rep and MTHKC). Other MTKC shows include Little Shop of Horrors, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Footloose, Shrek, Something Rotten, Let It Be, and Band Geeks. He was privileged to be a part of the staged reading of Black Man, MO at the KC Public Theater. He is also a part of the chamber choir at his school and has achieved the highest score on his solo, both regional and state. He would like to give thanks to all his supporters, especially his mother and grandmother.

After a hiatus from the musical theater stage, Linnaia is elated to be making her return in this production of GODSPELL. Linnaia has been part of the MTH family since 2013 where she made her MTH debut in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. Today, Linnaia now serves as the Associate Producer at MTH and Curator/Director for our Ruby Room Series. When away from the theater, she fulfills several other roles as a Project Manager, Founder and Community Organizer for a Local Non-Profit Organization (www.aagjc.org) and, the best role of all, Mother to her loving daughter Genesis (follow us on Instagram: @theadventuresofgandme). Local: New Theater Restaurant, KC Rep, Spinning Tree, Coterie, Quality Hill Playhouse, Music Theater Heritage, KC Melting Pot, MET, Living Room and Paul Mesner Puppets. MAGGIE HUTCHISON is very excited to return to MTH and to Godspell! Select regional credits include The Secret Garden (Martha, MTH), Beautiful:The Carole King Musical (Cynthia Weil, MTKC Pro), and The SpongeBob Musical: TYA (Karen, The Coterie). Other favorite local credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey, TTIP-Indoor) and Falsettos (Trina, Faust Theatre). She is also featured in the upcoming locally made feature film, Rennie (Barley Moon Productions). Originally from Cameroon in Central Africa, Nsikoh (See-Ko) came to the U.S in 2014
with the dream of becoming one of the most prolific Bass players in the World. He started his journey at KCKCC under the mentorship of Jim Mair, who introduced him to the world of Jazz and to the music scene in KC. Later on while pursuing his associates degree in general studies, he started playing full time in the city at some of the most famous clubs “the Green Lady Lounge, The Black Dolphin, the Phoenix, Johnnie’s, The Blue Room, etc..“ with influential musicians and bands in the city such as Tim Withmer, Lonnie McFadden, Desmond Mason, Hot club KC, Son of Venezuela, The Ernesto J Band and many more… From those experiences his dreams have become bigger and are pushing him to pursue higher goals (entrepreneurship and public speaking) to inspire and teach people how to live a life of purpose.
