This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds one fateful Christmas Eve. Filled with holiday music and live sound effects performed by foley artists, the beloved, life-affirming story is a holiday treat for the entire family!

Jordan Luty is thrilled to return to the Music Theater Heritage stage, especially for such a timeless story. Previously, he appeared with MTH as Dickon in The Secret Garden. His other recent credits include Jervis Pendleton in Daddy Long Legs (Bluff City Theatre), Dave in Dreamgirls (New Theatre & Restaurant), and Adam/Leo in The Inheritance (Unicorn Theatre). Most recently, Jordan has focused on inspiring the next generation of performers as a theatre educator & director, where he continues to develop his love for storytelling. Enjoy the show!

Genesis is thrilled to reprise her role as ZUZU this holiday season. This show will mark Genesis’ third appearance on the MTH stage! In addition to IAWL, you may have also seen her as Little Coalhouse in MTH’s 2019 production of RAGTIME at the age of 2 years old. Performance experiences include: Starlight Theatre (most recently “West Side Story”), KC Rep, KCKCC, Unicorn Theatre, The Coterie, The New Theatre, Jewish Community Center, Eventology LLC, KC Symphony

Ty Tuttle

Ty Tuttle is a KC-based pianist and musical theatre coach. An Illinois native, he received his Master’s degree in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has since served as an accompanist at several theaters and universities in the Midwest.

Recent Credits: A Chorus Line, Secret Garden, Titanic, Godspell (MTH), Mamma Mia! (Central Illinois Stage Co.), and Legally Blonde (Starlight).
