The most sultry, soulful sounds of the sixties take shape in the music of Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye and more!  These artists helped define the era when every melody and lyric was backed with passion and pain through songs like I Heard It Through the Grapevine which both artists made famous in their own way.  Let’s Get It On and have a good time!

is a native of KC and has been singing since the age of 10. He started singing in church and his love for singing grew from there and transitioned to the stage. He is thrilled and excited to return to MTH! Performance credits include- MTH: In The Heights; STEVIE; Spinning Tree Theatre: Billy Elliot, Once On This Island, Caroline or Change; The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City: 5 Guys Named Moe, A Soldier’s Play, Memphis (2018), and OTHELLO: A Hip-Hop Remix, The Black Repertory Theatre & The White Theatre at the J; Memphis(2022). Douglass would like to thank his family for their support. A special thanks goes to his beautiful and loving wife, Melonnie Walker.

Troy Weekes

Troy Weekes hails from Harlem, New York. He has been singing since the age of 3, and performing since the age of 14. Not only does he sing, but he’s a songwriter, actor and dancer as well. He added MC/Event Host to his many talents along his journey. He got his first TV debut on Showtime at the Apollo in 2005, being runner up on his show. Since then he has headlined shows at places like BB Kings and one of NYC’s most know music venues Cafe Wha. When not performing solo, you can catch Troy with his band for the Troy Weekes Live Band Experience at one of their many residencies or hosting an event all across the world. Always giving 100% and ready to do what it is he was born to do. Father of fellow rising MTH star in the making Genesis Weekes.

Debra "Lady D" Nabors

Lady D began her musical endeavors in church choirs, gospel groups and countless talent shows. In her late teen years, she recorded a gospel album and appeared on the infamous Bobby Jones Gospel show. Through the years, she has appeared on several recordings and opened for the likes of Roger Troutman & Zapp, Brian McKnight, Najee, Peabo Bryson and Kool & the Gang to name a few. Her musical style is an eclectic mix of Jazz, Old School R&B and Blues. True to herself and the music she loves, Lady D is a well-rounded, professional entertainer.
