Autumn Broadway Theater Trip

WEDNESDAY, October 16
George will book your flights to New York LaGuardia and meet your arriving flight. Private transportation will be provided to THE CORNELL CLUB on 44th Street at Fifth Avenue. This is the club for Alums & Faculty of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. You will find it’s warm & homey atmosphere with a Five-Star rating, a perfect home while visiting the city.
NOTE: If you wish to book your own airfare and meet the group at The Cornell Club -OR- if your flight times cannot be coordinated with George’s group transportation, there will be a $48 discount per person.
Let’s begin our four days in New York with a cocktail reception and three-course dinner with paired wines in the WHITE LIBRARY of the Cornell Club. After dinner there may be time to catch a show of your choice, visit Top-of-the Rock or explore Times Square a few blocks away.
THURSDAY, October 17
A FULL BREAKFAST at The Cornell Club is included each morning of your stay. This morning George will lead you on a one-hour walking tour of the Broadway Theater District with history & stories about the theaters and the the great Broadway composers.
After the walking tour and a restroom break, George will take you to a Broadway rehearsal hall where we will meet a cast member from one of the shows we’ll be seeing. Find out – first hand – what its like working on Broadway.

FRIDAY, October 18
Today is left free for you to enjoy the great city of New York in your own way. Options available today include a walking tour of historic GREENWICH VILLAGE.
Also available is a water tour of the New York skyline aboard a 1920’s vintage yacht. You will travel along the Hudson River, out into the harbor around the Statue of Liberty (up close) and up the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge. The boat is climate controlled, with light food and a full bar available.

SATURDAY, October 19
Today is left free for museums, shopping, strolling a park, or a special lunch.
For the Saturday 2 PM matinee, you will have a choice of any show on Broadway included in your trip cost. You don’t need to decide now. George will send you a list of recommendations later.
After your show this afternoon, join George and your fellow travelers for a cocktail and dinner at KELLARI TAVERNA on 44th Street. After our dinner party we will walk together to our fourth and final theater outing: the London transfer of the fabulous new production of CABARET, the 1966 classic by Kander & Ebb.
SUNDAY, October 20
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the Cayuga Dining Room, read the paper in the alcove or the White Library on the 4th Floor.
Check out at noon and settle your bill for any drinks or extra meals. A private coach will depart for LaGuardia for afternoon flights home.
